The main premise of the game is to carjack automobiles and run from the cops... and your player can assault rob and kill anybody they come across in the meantime with any assortment of modern weaponry at their disposal. And if the cops or some other thug kills you in the game, then you just respawn and start again.
And we wonder why carjackings, robbery, and assaults are skyrocketing among the under 30 crowd... when they grew up on video games like GTA.
Three of the GTA series games are at the top of the all time best selling video games in the U.S. as well.
Go figure.
So, do we agree with the mental health experts who say exposure to violent video games do not make people like Eric Harris psychologically ill, or the ideological right wingjob half-wits who think Grand Theft Auto is responsible for the gangbanger culture...eh?
It's so convenient to blame a video game or a TV show and let mommy and daddy off the hook...unless it's a black mommy and daddy.
